Review of Supernova – April 4th, 2005
By Cathy Saunders
War, suffering, ozone depletion, world poverty… no this is not a news broadcast, it’s simply what ‘Supernova’ the debut album for international act Liquid Blue, is all about. This seven piece act combines traditional Indian, soft rock and electronica, to come out sounding like Britney Spears and N’sync, but with a political conscience. Standout tracks include Real and Show Me Love. Both are unashamedly soft pop but the gorgeous vocals make them worth a listen. Not my cup of tea but I commend the bravery needed to make an album that tries to spread peace and harmony to those who choose to listen – a hard task these days!
