The San Diego Reader has been an institution in our city since the early 1970s. This newspaper’s birth came about at a tumultuous time when education, journalism, and activism converged to create monumental changes in our society.
The Reader survives today while so many of its contemporaries have discontinued publishing. For many San Diegan’s, The Reader was the go-to source for upcoming entertainment events and still is today.
We feel grateful that since 2005, the Reader has published twelve articles on Liquid Blue. They do a great job of archiving their work, so you can still find all of these articles online, right here: https://www.sandiegoreader.com/bands/liquid-blue/. Maybe one reason for their success is they hold onto their best talent. We’ve been covered by three of the biggest names in SD journalism; Jay Allen Sanford, Bart Mendoza, and @Chad Deal, who are still active and covering the scene.
