Brandon Scott is only 25 years old but he already has a lifetime’s worth of accomplishments.
When he was a kid in Murietta, California, Brandon’s dad taught him to play drums and he’s been drumming ever since. His early influences were two of rock’s most skilled and iconic drummers: Rush’s Neal Peart and Dream Theater’s Mike Portnoy. Brandon knew that to reach their level he would have to push himself hard, and he has.
Brandon started his own band at 14 and at 16 began taking lessons from Liquid Blue’s extraordinary long-time drummer, Glenn Mann Frazier. Meanwhile, Brandon won a couple of drumming contests and worked at The Guitar Center where he spent a lot of time practicing and learning about the drums.
In 2016 Glenn told Brandon that Liquid Blue was looking for an additional drummer. Brandon decided to try out for the job and after several auditions, he got the dream job of playing for Liquid Blue, a huge step forward in his career. Brandon and Liquid Blue toured the world on a Princess cruise ship. While touring Brandon solidified and improved his already impressive chops but even more importantly he met his future wife on board.
Today Brandon still plays occasionally with Liquid Blue and is a successful YouTuber with over 100,000 subscribers. His YouTube videos about drumming show the creativity and passion that made him such a great drummer for Liquid Blue.
