Liquid Blue made their third trip to New Zealand and 2nd trip in 2009 visiting four NZ cities. The band was interviewed on KFM 106.9 in Auckland.
Legendary vocalist Glenn Shorrock performed aboard the Star Princess on Oct 25th. Shorrock was a founding member of the Little River Band. The group was one of the most successful bands ever to come out of Australia, and the first Australian group to achieve major commercial success in the United States.
The BlueGirls displayed their diverse vocal skills in a tribute show dedicated to the greatest female vocalists of the past century. The show, called “Divas Tribute”, featured music from Judy Garland to Beyonce and drew two packed houses in the 780 capacity Princess Theater, as well as two standing ovations.
The legendary Woodstock Festival had its 40th anniversary in 2009 and Liquid Blue paid tribute with a special show featuring songs and artists that performed at the original event in August of 1969.
From the Bee Gees to AC/DC, Liquid Blue covered the most popular Australian musical acts in a special tribute designed for an Australian audience.
Supernova wins 2009 Pop Album of the Year by the LA Music Awards! The LAMA awards were presented at the Avalon Theater in Hollywood on November 12th. Nikki Nova was in attendance to receive the award while the rest of the band was on tour and out of the country.
The Nelson Brothers were one of the celebrity guests who joined Liquid Blue aboard the Star Princess in November. Angelo Frisina was asked to step in on drums and performed two shows with the Nelsons. Nelson was a glam metal band founded by Matthew and Gunnar Nelson (the twin sons of Ricky Nelson).
The music of The Guess Who, Neil Young, Steppenwolf, Bryan Adams and more were featured in Liquid Blue’s new tribute show, Canadian Superstars. The band did four shows on two nights to capacity crowds in the Vista Lounge.
Earth Passport was been nominated in two categories by the 2009 Hollywood Music in Media Awards.The song was nominated for Best World Song of 2009 and Best Video of 2009. The HMMA Awards were presented Thursday, November 19th, 2009 at The Highlands in the world famous Hollywood & Highlands / Kodak Theater complex in Hollywood, CA.

After winning 2nd place in Los Angeles at the first round of Taiwan Idol on Sept 26th, Nikki Green advances to the next round which will be held in Fu Zhou, China next month, Dec15th-31st. The first round competition included an acapella section as well as a performance featuring a full Taiwanese song.
Although Liquid Blue always performs with THREE BlueGirls on stage, having additional BlueGirls can be critical as in the case of this month (December). Nikki Green will spend two weeks in China as a contestant in Taiwanese Idol. DJ Layla Loxa is in South America as the house DJ on the Star Princess. Gina, Diana and Summer will be performing shows in Dec.
