Liquid Blue will visit seven Asian countries in March, 2009 (listed below). This will be the first time the band has visited Cambodia. The band has performed in 27 countries in Asia over the past few years.
Liquid Blue did shows at two No Cal casinos this weekend; Black Oak Casino and Chukchansi Casino. Both venues are very close to Yosemite National Park to the group spent the day visiting the park.
Liquid Blue hit the snow for the third time in the past three week as they performed at Chads in Big Bear Lakes.

Dominate is the first new release from Liquid Blue since 2005 and the first song from the forthcoming album, Earth Passport. The song features vocalists Scott Stephens and Russian (Belarusian) vocals from Gera.
Earth Passport is the newest release from Liquid Blue. The song was produced by Scott Stephens and Eric Klein and mixed by Grammy winning (8 times) producer Joe Chicarelli. The theme of the song is “one planet, one people” and was penned by Scott Stephens, who has traveled extensively as the founding member of Liquid Blue, to over 108 countries.
Liquid Blue heads off their 2nd tour of Australia / New Zealand on January 26th. The tour runs until March 9th and stops in 10 major cities of these two countries. The bands drummer, Angelo Frisina, is a native of Perth, Australia. The band is in Perth on Tuesday, March 3rd.
Liquid Blue makes a tour stop in Melbourne on January 31st and will be interviewed on Noise TV. The show has been on the air in Australia since 1997 and is has become one of the most popular shows on independent music in Melbourne.
Earth Passport and Dominate, two brand new Liquid Blue songs, made the finals of the Peacedriven songwriting contest 2009. The mission of the Peacedriven Campaign is to energize social activists as well as empower a new generation to act. The major peacedriven concerns are violence, human rights, poverty, education and environmental protection. Congrats to Daniel Nahmod of California for his winning song “Last Song”.

The April 2009 issue of International Musician Magazine has a full page feature on Liquid Blue vocalist / band leader Scott Stephens. The article focuses on the extensive travels of the band. IM is published by the American Federation of Musicians (AFM), the musicians union and is read by over 100,000 musicians monthly.
Liquid Blue will perform four shows at the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino is Biloxi, Mississippi. Last year the band played at Island View Casino in Gulfport.
Liquid Blue made their annual trip up the coast to rock Harry’s in Pismo Beach. The “all-rock” show featured classic and modern rock.
Liquid Blue was officially designated a “Green Business” by the County of San Diego, Department of Environmental Health, Community Health Division on May 22nd, 2009. Liquid Blue has implemented “green practices” since the inception of the band in 1996; long before going green was fashionable. The band recently converted its offices to solar power.
The magnificent Broadmoor Hotel was the site of a Liquid Blue performance on May 28th. The Broadmoor Hotel was built in the early 20th century as the “Grand Dame of the Rockies”, it was one of the finest resort destinations along the Rocky Mountains during the age of railroads.
Dominate, the new song from Liquid Blue, received praise and from one of the original founding members of the Moody Blues, Mike Pinder. The song got an honorable mention in Mike Pinder’s Songwars competition.
Mike’s comments on the song “Dominate”: “Good effort. Unique premise and good storytelling lyrically—can see why your work is appreciated abroad”.
Liquid Blue sang the Star Spangled Banner for the 50th time on June 18th for a San Diego Padres game at Petco Park. The BlueGirls have sung the anthem at major sporting events since 2001 including 13 appearances for the Padres. The video here shows footage from events across the country over the years.
