Two From Blue will perform an acoustic concert at the “The Daila Cultural Center” in Jerusalem during the Christmas holidays on December 21st. The concert takes place in Israel which marks the 99th country Liquid Blue (and its subsidiaries) have visited. The concert has been organized by Holy Land Trust in cooperation with Peace Center. Liquid Blue performed a show at the legendary Beverly Wilshire Hotel at Rodeo Drive and Wilshire Blvd on Saturday, November 17th, the official start of the holiday shopping season. The Christmas tree and all the traditional lighting decorations were lit by the mayor of Beverly Hills. Sharon Stone was on hand to speak at the nationally televised event.
The BlueGirls sang the National Anthem as the Lakers defeated the Detroit Pistons on Friday, November 16th at Staples Center. The BlueGirls were also scheduled to sing at the Lakers pre-season game in San Diego but the game was cancelled due to the wildfires. Vault 350, Long Beach’s hottest club, was packed to capacity for Liquid Blue’s performance on Thursday, November 15th.
Two From Blue (acoustic duo) performed three shows in Lhasa, the capital city of Tibet (an autonomous region of China). The duo packed Lhasa’s number one venue, the Tang Club, all three nights. See photos.
Liquid Blue will make their sixth trip to China in the past six years. The band was in China earlier this year for Chinese New Year (Feb). This trip takes the group to Zhongshan City in Guangdong province. Previously the band has performed in Shanghai, Dalian, Sanya, Hong Kong and Macau.
The City of Imperial Beach is hosting a free end of summer concert at Veterans park on Saturday, Sept 30th. Highlights include a laser light show and a headline appearance by Liquid Blue. This is an all ages show starting at 5:00.
Liquid Blue will hit the stage at the Park at the Park immediately following the Padres / Giants game at Petco Park on Sept 14th. The band will do a one-hour post game concert of 90’s music to coincide with the Padres “90’s Retro Night”. The game will feature new home run king Barry Bonds and a San Diego team that is making a run for the playoffs. Over 40,000 are expected to attend. Also, the BlueGirls will sing the National Anthem at game time.
The BlueGirls have been chosen to sing the Star Spangled Banner for the biggest soccer game in Major League Soccer history. David Beckham will make his MLS/ Los Angeles Galaxy debut on July 21st and the BlueGirls will sing the National Anthem to kick-off the historic game. Once again, Liquid Blue will appear at the Windmill Farms / Lake Murray 4th of July Festival. The band also headlined the 2005 event, which drew almost 10,000 fans. Bands will perform throughout the afternoon. Liquid Blue will take the stage at 6:00 and perform until the fireworks at 9:00.
On Saturday Liquid Blue appeared in Hershey PA, the home of Hershey’s Chocolate, the Hershey theme park and Chocolate World. The band performed at the historic Hershey Hotel and rocked the appreciative crowd. This was the band’s second trip to Pennsylvania. Last year’s schedule included a stop in the capital city of Harrisburg.
Armed Forces Entertainment will host Liquid Blue on the bands 8th military tour, running May 4th through May 24th. The band will perform for and visit with U.S. troops stationed on bases in Afghanistan, Bahrain, UAE, Qatar and Kyrgyzstan. The band has visited troops around the world on seven previous AFE tours, the last one back in 2002. When the 9/11 attacks occurred, Liquid Blue was on a military base in Honduras and watched the events on television with soldiers stationed there. Liquid Blue has performed on all six AFE tour circuits.
Chinese Idol, known as “Supergirl” in China made a tour stop in Los Angeles at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Sat, March 31st. Liquid Blue performed on the bill which will also included Chinese Superstar Zhang Lian Yin (Jane Zhang), who was third in the 2005 Chinese Supergirl and one of the most famous of all the Supergirls, much like Kelly Clarkson in the USA. She has recorded with Madonna, Celine Dion and Mariah Carey.
Liquid Blue performed to a capacity crowd (13,000) at the world famous Cow Palace on Sat, March 3rd. The Cow Palace has played host to the Beatles, Elvis, Rolling Stones, Grateful Dead and many others. It was the former home of the NBA Golden State Warriors, NHL San Jose Sharks and Bay City Bombers of Roller Derby. The concert was televised on CCTV-3 and available on
Liquid Blue made another trip to China in February during Chinese New Year / Spring Festival. The band performed at the opening ceremony of the Sanya Music Festival on Hainan Island in the city of Sanya on February 17th. The concert was carried live by CCTV, China’s #1 network and was viewed by millions. This is the third trip to China for Liquid Blue, who first performed in Dalian, China in 2002. In February, Liquid Blue returned to the Philippines for the first time since 1997. The band performed a sold-out concert at 6000 seat Andres Bonifacio College in Dipolog City. Several songs from Supernova received heavy airplay in Dipolog. The city of Dipolog is hosted the event and will presented a parade with a motorcade in the bands honor the day of the concert. The San Diego Chargers just completed their best season ever at 14-2 and take on the New England Patriots on Sunday, Jan 14th at Qualcomm Stadium. Game time is 1:30. Liquid Blue will hit the stage at 10 AM and perform until 1 PM, section F2. The Chargers will also hold a playoff rally on Wednesday, Jan 10th featuring the band P.O.D., who will perform on the same stage as Liquid Blue. Go Chargers!
