Mark Schulman, one of rock’s premiere drummers, is on tour with Pink and will make a San Diego stop on January 8th. Mark co-wrote “Arms of Love” with Scott Stephens and recorded the drums for “Making Up”, both for the Supernova album. During the Supernova sessions, Mark was Cher’s drummer. He later joined Velvet Revolver and now is Pink’s drummer. He has also performed with Destiny’s Child, Sheryl Crow, Billy Idol and many others. The International Music Awards has presented Liquid Blue and producer David DeVore a gold record for the song REAL. The song won “Best Production” at the IMA and Liquid Blue won a Top-5 award for BEST BAND.
Liquid Blue lead vocalist Scott Stephens has been helping to train new skaters and training himself with the World Champion Bay Bombers. The Bombers will take on the San Diego Firebirds in the 2007 ARSD season opener in Escondido, although Scott will be unable to skate due to a Liquid Blue performance the same night. Open Record Book has certified that Liquid Blue has performed in more countries (89 to date) than any other band in history. The record was set several years ago when Liquid Blue passed the Rolling Stones, who, at the time, had visited 39 countries.
Rhythm of Love has captured another honor as the song was nominated for the 2007 Golden Kayak Award by Independent Artists Company. The song was also the VH1 Song of the Year for Aug 2004 in the dance category.
Record Holders Republic has certified that Liquid Blue has performed in more countries (89 to date) than any other band in history. The band will break it’s own record next month as they tour more new countries in Eastern Europe.
A scaled down version of Liquid Blue heads to Eastern Europe for a three-week tour which includes 10 countries. The duo, featuring original members Michael Vangerov and Scott Stephens, successfully toured Central Europe in November of 2006. Tour stops include Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Belarus, Serbia and Moldova.
Liquid Blue has been named “America’s Best Dance Band” for 2007. There were a total of seven winners selected. The band also won the award in 2001.

Liquid Blue has just now been notified that the band was the 1st place winner in the 2006 “Wish You Were Here” contest sponsored by the Madison Area Music Awards and Broadjam. This particular category is for acts outside the Wisconsin Area that local music fans like so much they wish they were in the area. The award had been mailed to the band early in 2006 but returned so we are just now finding out about it!
Liquid Blue has now performed for more than 100 corporations. The number of actual corporate shows is much higher as many are repeat clients. Roughly 25% of the over 100 companies qualify for the Fortune 500 list (Includes Fortune 1000, Fortune Global 500 and Forbes “America’s Largest Private Companies”). 2007 has been the bands best year yet for corporate events.
Kevin DuBrow, longtime lead singer of the band Quiet Riot, was found dead at his home in Las Vegas over the weekend from a cocaine overdose. DuBrow was one of the greatest rock singers ever to come out of Los Angeles and will be sorely missed. For the 2nd year in a row Liquid Blue has been awarded “runner-up” in the Best Band category of the International Music Awards sponsored by The Music Aid Organization, in association with the United Nations UNV program. Winners were selected from thousands of artists in over 29 countries.
