Liquid Blue’s appearance on the popular TV news show Inside Southern California, hosted by Lynn Harper will air on Feb 6th at 7:30 pm, Feb 7th at 5:00 pm, Feb 27th at 7:30 and Feb 28th at 5:00. The band was interviewed with Grammy Award winner Wayne Johnson from the Manhattan Transfer. The show has been nominated for two LCA Cable Awards!
The band will make two public appearances in Ski Resort areas this winter. The first is at Whiskey Creek in Mammoth Mountain CA, Jan 13-15. The 2nd is a Chad’s Place in Big Bear Lake, Feb 3rd & 4th.
At the Garden you never know who you’ll meet. As the BlueGirls prepared backstage for their Garden performance, the NFL’s premiere running back, LaDainian Tomlinson, stopped by to say hello. Scott also met Spike Lee. The girls also went clubbing with the Knick City Dancers after the game.
The BlueGirls will appear at Madison Square Garden on January 27th in New York City for a Knicks game. They’ll also perform at Staples Center for the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers and at Arrowhead Pond for the Anaheim Mighty Ducks of the NHL. To top it off the girls will sing for the Boston Celtics at their new arena, the Fleet Center in Boston on January 25th. To conclude the east coast week the band will perform at private show for the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame.
Real, a song that has now won 26 different awards, has hit number one on the Garageband World Chart on Jan 17th, 2006. The song is one of the highest ranking songs ever at Garageband and has been in the top-10 since it’s release in 2004. A new video will soon be released for the song.
If You Gotta Ask has been selected as a finailst in the WRA (William Robert Abate) song competition for 2006. The WRA Song Competition selects songs that promote peace, love, community, and/or speak out against violence, war or hate. Founded in 1993, in conjunction with the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, the original William Robert Abate Competition awards gifted artist for their achievements.
