To add to an already package 2005 schedule, Liquid Blue is performing a series of “unplugged” acoustic shows. The 2 hour set includes unplugged versions of every song from the Supernova LP, as well as selected covers.
An estimated crowd of 7000 witnessed Liquid Blue at the Lake Murray July 4th Music Fest in San Diego, CA. The annual all-day event featured 4 live bands and fireworks. The line-up included:
1-3 pm Beyond Blue
3-5 pm Yavaze Latin Jazz
5-7 pm Ruby & The Redhots
7-9 pm Liquid Blue
9 pm Fireworks Spectacular (simulcast by KYXY 96.5)
An estimated crowd of 5000 showed up to witness the Liquid Blue headline performance in Douglas, Arizona for their 100th Anniversary Festival. Other acts included Atrest, New Direction, El Paisano & Tony Tee. The event was held at Veterans Memorial Park in Douglas on July 3rd. The Douglas daily newspaper featured the band on the cover of the June 30th paper.
Nikki Green performed the Star Spangled Banner at Dodger Stadium on Wednesday, June 29th. The game featured the Los Angeles Dodgers vs. the San Diego Padres. This marked the 20th time members of Liquid Blue have sung the national anthem at pro sporting events. Nikki was accompanied by the legendary Dodger organist Nancy Bea Hefley, who has been with the Dodgers since 1988.
Liquid Blue has been invited to perform at the Call To Arts Festival sponsored by Artists Helping Artists on Sat, June 25th at Cal Poly Pomona. Michael Vangerov and Nikki Green will perform “unplugged” versions of If You Gotta Ask, Real and Rescue at 4:00.
UK Sounds will feature Give Me Back My Heart as Song of the Day on Friday, June 24th. The track will be featured on three site in the USA, UK and Austrailia, including UKsounds, USASounds and OZSounds.
Supernova (the album) has been selected for “Buzz of the Week” at Earbuzz.com, where it will be featured on the Earbuzz home page from June 12 to June 18. Read the CD review from EarBuzz on the reviews page.
Liquid Blue will take the stage for their 1000th performance on May 9th in Cabo San Lucas. The band, in it’s many incarnations, has been performing since 1996. Guitarist Michael Vangerov and vocalist Scott Stephens have been there for all of them and vocalist Nikki Green for most. Later this year on December 31st, the band will celebrate their 10th anniversary.
Supernova will be distributed in all 1200 Target store in the USA, starting April 15th. The CD will be specially featured with 25 other independent artists in the “America’s Best Independent Artist” display.
The Music For Peace Project will sponsor Liquid Blue’s April 9th concert in Limon, Costa Rica as the band dedicates this show towards peace along with hundreds of other artists around the world who will simultaneously hold “Music For Peace” concerts.
The band is back out on the road from March 28th to May 12th; this time touring Central America including several stops in Mexico, Costa Rica, Belize, Panama and the Cayman Islands.
The March 20th issue of Southbound Beat compares Liquid Blue’s treatment of Indian pop music to Gloria Estefan’s treatment of Latin pop music. Arms of Love was honored as Track of the Week on Feb 28th at Garageband.com, due to the outstanding reviews it has earned from listeners.

Madison Square Garden
The BlueGirls will sing the National Anthem for the New York Knicks game on January 27th vs. the Orlando Magic. The band performs in concert the following night (Jan 28th) for the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame in Camp Hill PA. They will also be singing the anthem for the Boston Celtics game two days earlier on Jan 25th. The Celtics are the NBA’s all time franchise with a record 16 World Championships.
New Music Weekly, features a cover story on Liquid Blue in their Jan 14th issue. The past three cover stories have featured artists such as Nelly & Alicia Keys. Liquid Blue members leaped into the new year by sky-diving in Las Vegas. The jump was sponsored by Go Fast Sports And Beverage Company. It was conducted by Vegas Extreme Skydiving, the foremost skydiving company in Nevada. Four performers and two street team members made the 10,000 foot jump on January 2nd.
