Liquid Blue will headline the Gala Showroom at Cactus Petes in Jackpot, Nevada on New Year's Eve. Jackpot is on the Nevada-Idaho border at the Northern tip of Nevada.
Nikki has made the Top-10 in Taiwanese Idol. She'll now compete in the Top10 competition for the title of Taiwanese Idol. Go Nikki! Over 100 million TV viewers have seen her perform. Although Liquid Blue always performs with THREE BlueGirls on stage, having additional BlueGirls can be critical as in the case of this month (December). Nikki Green will spend two weeks in China as a contestant in Taiwanese Idol. DJ Layla Loxa is in South America as the house DJ on the Star Princess. Gina, Diana and Summer will be performing shows in Dec.

The first round competition included an acapella section as well as a performance featuring a full Taiwanese song. Earth Passport was been nominated in two categories by the 2009 Hollywood Music in Media Awards.The song was nominated for Best World Song of 2009 and Best Video of 2009. The HMMA Awards were presented Thursday, November 19th, 2009 at The Highlands in the world famous Hollywood & Highlands / Kodak Theater complex in Hollywood, CA. This red-carpet event features live performances, award presentations, a VIP reception and banquet dinner catered by Wolfgang Puck™. The Hollywood Music in Media Awards recognizes and honors the music of visual mediums, the talented individuals responsible, and the music of independent artists from around the globe.
The music of The Guess Who, Neil Young, Steppenwolf, Bryan Adams and more were featured in Liquid Blue's new tribute show, Canadian Superstars. The band did four shows on two nights to capacity crowds in the Vista Lounge.
The Nelson Brothers were one of the celebrity guests who joined Liquid Blue aboard the Star Princess in November. Angelo Frisina was asked to step in on drums and performed two shows with the Nelsons. Nelson was a glam metal band founded by Matthew and Gunnar Nelson (the twin sons of Ricky Nelson). They had a No. 1 hit in the United States with "Love and Affection". They are listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the only family to reach number one record status in three successive generations (beginning with grandparents Ozzie and Harriet Nelson).
From the Bee Gees to AC/DC, Liquid Blue covered the most popular Australian musical acts in a special tribute designed for an Australian audience.
The legendary Woodstock Festival had its 40th anniversary in 2009 and Liquid Blue paid tribute with a special show featuring songs and artists that performed at the original event in August of 1969.
Liquid Blue loved Fiji, especially the local drink KAVA.
The BlueGirls displayed their diverse vocal skills in a tribute show dedicated to the greatest female vocalists of the past century. The show, called "Divas Tribute", featured music from Judy Garland to Beyonce and drew two packed houses in the 780 capacity Princess Theater, as well as two standing ovations.
Legendary vocalist Glenn Shorrock
performed aboard the Star Princess on Oct 25th. Shorrock was a
founding member of the Little River Band. The group was one of the
most successful bands ever to come out of Australia, and the first
Australian group to achieve major commercial success in the United
States. Glenn joined Liquid Blue onstage and performed his biggest
hit, Reminiscing. Their hit songs include:

Liquid Blue made their third trip to New Zealand and 2nd trip in 2009 visiting four NZ cities. The band was interviewed on KFM 106.9 in Auckland.
Liquid Blue presented a new tribute show dedicated to the British Invasion that occurred 1964-1970. The show packed the house and will become a regular addition to the bands many tributes. The show included music from the Stones, Kinks, Beatles, Petula Clark and many more.
Liquid Blue visited both Western Samoa and American Samoa in October and witnessed the massive devastation from the recent Tsunami. The islands still retained their natural beauty despite the damage.
When Liquid Blue visited the island of Moorea in Tahiti, several performers did a "swim with sharks" adventure in the open ocean. Below is Scott with a shark not far in the distance. The band visited Papeete, Bora Bora and Moorea while in Tahiti and met with promoter Vavitu Salmon who is working to arrange concerts featuring Liquid Blue in Tahiti and New Caledonia.
Liquid Blue presented an evening of Beatles music to a packed Vista Lounge aboard the Star Princess. This was the first of 20 tribute shows the band has recently completed.

Liquid Blue will visit the Australian (Oceania) continent from Sept 23rd to Nov 22nd. The tour includes the countries of Australia, New Zealand, Tahiti, Fiji, Samoa plus a visit to Hawaii. This is the bands third trip to Australia. Past Photos.
Liquid Blue hits the stage at Qualcomm Stadium Sunday morning prior to the kickoff of the San Diego Chargers home opening game. Show starts at 9:30 AM and runs to 12:30.
Liquid Blue will hit the stage at the Green Valley Casino in Las Vegas on Wednesday, Sept 9th on a billing that features several acts including The Guess Who (numerous hits including American Woman) and WAR. The event is The International Association of Corporate Entertainment Producers (IACEP) and features William Shatner as keynote speaker. Liquid Blue will perform in front of an exclusive audience of event planners and producers.
New BlueGirl Summer Mencher made her debut with the band in August under the tutelage of BlueGirls leader Nikki Green. On Sept 4th Summer performs "without training wheels" as her, Gina and Diana lead the BlueGirls in Kansas City and the following night in Riverside, Iowa. This is Summer's first road trip with Liquid Blue. She'll also accompany the band to Australia and New Zealand in Oct. Summer plays guitar & keyboards as well as singing and dancing. Liquid Blue performed at the 1500 capacity Wave House in San Diego on Aug 25. Wave House San Diego has been home to acts as diverse as Good Charlotte, Pink, Busta Rhymes, James Blunt, Sean Kingston, and Ziggy Marley. Wave House was christened as a prime music venue back in 2006, when MTV’S True Request Live took over Wave House San Diego for a week in May. While music acts from Ashlee Simpson to James Blunt to Busta Rhymes went off on the outdoor stages – surrounded by a sea of skin - the waves kept pumping, with surfing pros Jamie O’Brien, Kalani Chapman, Flynn Novak and Braden Dias going berserk on San Diego’s famous FlowBarrel, better known locally as Bruticus Maximus. There are Wave House locations in Durbin (South Africa), Santiago (Chile), Sentosa (Singapore) and Zaragoza (Spain).

Liquid Blue singer Jessica Manning has been chosen to compete in the 2010 Miss California USA contest. She will compete against 120 other women for the crown of Miss California and the chance to compete in Miss USA and Miss Universe.http://misscaliforniausa.com
BlueGirl Jessica Manning has been named Miss San Marcos and will be eligible to compete in Miss USA for 2010. 22 year old Jessica was Miss Escondido a few years ago as well. Last year she made the finals in the Taiwanese Idol singing contest.
The Band's August 7th show at the Dreamcatcher Theater in Viejas Casino will be filmed for a new, soon to be released DVD. The band will do two shows: 9:00-10:30 and 11:30-1:00. The last time Liquid Blue released a DVD was in 2004. The new video will feature concert footage from around the world including sold-out shows in Europe, Asia and the United States. The Viejas concert will be the final show filmed prior to editing and the only show that locals fans can be part of. Come join us on Friday Night, August 7th.
The track "Real" from Supernova continues to garner attention five years after its release and has been nominated for 2009 Pop Single of the Year at the L.A. Music Awards. The song will be featured with other nominees on October 8th at the Whisky A-Go-Go on the Sunset strip in Hollywood. This pre-ceremony event is open to the public and we encourage our fans to show up to support our nomination. The official awards ceremony will be held Thursday, November 12th at the Paramount Studios Theater in Hollywood. Liquid Blue will be performing in Tahiti on both of these dates (Oct 8th and Nov 12th) but BlueGirls Nikki Green and Jessica Manning will both travel to Los Angeles to represent the band at the both the Whisky event as well as final event at the Paramount Theater. "Real" has been the bands most successful song to date, being recognized 30 times including five compilation CD appearances, 11 awards (including nominations) and making the Top-40 on 14 different independent music charts.

With Rickey Henderson being inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame of this date, we decided to re-publish this photo of Rickey and Liquid Blue from May 31st, 2005. Henderson is baseball's all-time leader in runs scored, stolen bases and leadoff home runs. He was the leauge MVP in 1990 and a ten-time all-star. Rickey played on two world series champions. He also won a gold glove in 1981. We met Rickey in 2005 during his very last season as a professional ballplayer. On May 9th, 2005, a the age of 46, he signed with the San Diego Surf Dawgs, an independent league and on May 31st Liquid Blue (the BlueGirls) were asked to sing the National Anthem at a "Dawgs" home game. A meet and greet with Rickey was arranged and he graciously spent a few minutes with the group before the game. Finishing his legendary career on a high note, Rickey helped the Surf Dawgs to the league championship. He had a on base percentage of .456 with 16 steals in 18 attempts. At 46!!

Liquid Blue sang the Star Spangled Banner for the 50th time on June 18th for a San Diego Padres game at Petco Park. The BlueGirls have sung the anthem at major sporting events since 2001 including 13 appearances for the Padres. The video here shows footage from events across the country over the years.

of the Moody Blues, Mike Pinder. The song got an
in Mike Pinder's Songwars competition.
Mike's comments on the song "Dominate": "Good effort. Unique premise and good storytelling lyrically—can see why your work is appreciated abroad".
Mike's comments regarding Earth Passport: "Very creative and original song!! Really liked the theme and imagery of the lyrics. I love the language transition idea, very clever! Great performances with a well put together arrangement and great production".
Keyboardist/Vocalist Mike Pinder helped form the legendary Moody Blues in 1964 and was with them during their heyday from 1964 to 1978 and then rejoined the band in 1994 to the present. He was one of the first musicians to play the Mellotron and introduced it to the Beatles who used it on the song, Strawberry Fields Forever.
The magnificent Broadmoor Hotel was the site of a Liquid Blue performance on May 28th. The Broadmoor Hotel was built in the early 20th century as the "Grand Dame of the Rockies", it was one of the finest resort destinations along the Rocky Mountains during the age of railroads. It also offers a tennis facility rated #3 by Tennis Magazine and three 18-hole golf courses; the East Course has hosted numerous USGA championships. The hotel sits at an elevation of 6230 feet. Liquid Blue was officially designated a "Green Business" by the County of San Diego, Department of Environmental Health, Community Health Division on May 22nd, 2009. Liquid Blue has implemented "green practices" since the inception of the band in 1996; long before going green was fashionable. The band recently converted its offices to solar power. Liquid Blue made their annual trip up the coast to rock Harry's in Pismo Beach. The "all-rock" show featured classic and modern rock.
Liquid Blue will perform four shows at the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino is Biloxi, Mississippi. Last year the band played at Island View Casino in Gulfport.

NY -- March 23, 2009 -- After being heavily pursued by multiple
record labels, BC Jean, a hit-making songwriter and gifted vocalist,
has signed a recording deal with J Records. BC has been buzzed about
as the co-writer for Beyonce's poignant, mega hit "If I Were A Boy,"
and has a slew of other songs penned for her debut album,
anticipated for release at the end of 2009. A San Diego native, BC
is currently in the midst of recording material in Los Angeles and
New York for her debut album with superstar collaborators Dallas
Austin (Gwen Stefani, Pink), The Matrix (Christina Aguilera, Avril
Lavigne), Zac Maloy (David Cook), and Toby Gad (Fergie, Beyonce),
who also co-wrote "If I Were A Boy" with BC. BC was signed
by the legendary Clive Davis who signed Janis Joplin and many other
BC Jean is the fourth BlueGirl to gain notoriety recently. Current BlueGirl Jessica Manning advanced to the finals in Chinese (Taiwanese) Idol in December 2008. Miz Mandy had two Billboard Top-40 dance hits in the past couple years. Another current BlueGirl Layla Loxa, won the World Bodysurfing Championship in 2003.
Liquid Blue will visit seven Asian countries in March, 2009 (listed below). This will be the first time the band has visited Cambodia. The band has performed in 27 countries in Asia over the past few years.
Earth Passport and Dominate, two brand new Liquid Blue songs, made the finals of the Peacedriven songwriting contest 2009. The mission of the Peacedriven Campaign is to energize social activists as well as empower a new generation to act. The major peacedriven concerns are violence, human rights, poverty, education and environmental protection. Congrats to Daniel Nahmod of California for his winning song "Last Song".
Liquid Blue makes a tour stop in Melbourne on January 31st and will be interviewed on Noise TV. The show has been on the air in Australia since 1997 and is has become one of the most popular shows on independent music in Melbourne.
Liquid Blue heads off their 2nd tour of Australia / New Zealand on January 26th. The tour runs until March 9th and stops in 10 major cities of these two countries. The bands drummer, Angelo Frisina, is a native of Perth, Australia. The band is in Perth on Tuesday, March 3rd.
Earth Passport is the newest release from Liquid Blue. The song was produced by Scott Stephens and Eric Klein and mixed by Grammy winning (8 times) producer Joe Chicarelli. The theme of the song is "one planet, one people" and was penned by Scott Stephens, who has traveled extensively as the founding member of Liquid Blue, to over 108 countries. The video which accompanies the song is a photo collage of some of the bands travel highlights and includes many UNESCO World Heritage sites. The vocals are sung in 14 different languages on the long video version. The single / album version features vocals in eight languages included all the official languages of the United Nations. The video is now available to view.
Dominate is the first new release from Liquid Blue since 2005 and the first song from the forthcoming album, Earth Passport. The song features vocalists Scott Stephens and Russian (Belarusian) vocals from Gera.
Liquid Blue is one of the featured
artists on the "Dream On" compilation CD which was recorded as a
tribute to the work of Dr. Martin Luther King. The official CD
release party will be held at Molly Malones in Los Angeles on

Liquid Blue hit the snow for the third time in the past three week as they performed at Chads in Big Bear Lakes.
Liquid Blue did shows at two No Cal casinos this weekend; Black Oak Casino and Chukchansi Casino. Both venues are very close to Yosemite National Park to the group spent the day visiting the park.
