Liquid Blue® might just be the most unique cover band the world has ever seen.
"With over 600 songs to choose from, Liquid Blue clients can customize a show for every taste! Within those 600 songs the band has put together over 70 medley arrangements. Each medley is a mini-tribute to a particular group or era. For example, our Led Zeppelin Medley features Trampled Under Foot, Dancing Days, Houses of the Holy, Rock and Roll and ends with the heavy section of Stairway To Heaven. For an example of something more "pop" here's the ABBA Medley: Dancing Queen, Fernando, SOS and Waterloo. You can see all of our arrangements when you scroll to the bottom of our songlist page.
Liquid Blue is a favorite of A-list celebrities including movie & TV stars; high level politicians; heads of state; professional atheletes; Fortune 500 companies; private country clubs and the rich and famous. Liquid Blue brings unrivaled star power to your event at an unbeatable price.
A Liquid Blue show is suited for both the eyes and ears. Between the variety of music and high energy stage show, an audience never gets bored with any aspect of a Liquid Blue show, even when witnessing the band on multiple occasions. And Liquid Blue has recently added "wallpaper" graphics to their live show. These cutting edge images add tremendously to the visual impact of a show. And in regards to attire, from mild to wild; formal to funky, Liquid Blue has you covered.
Many people hire Liquid Blue because the band is young, highly energetic, hip and plays more modern Top-40 dance hits then most other similar groups. What is sometimes surprising to those that have never seen the band live is that Liquid Blue, at its core, is a rock and roll band. Classic and modern rock are the groups forte. With that in mind the group recently put together a show for die-hard rock fans called "Rock and Roll Fantasy". This show features rock music from the 60's to today. Other popular Liquid Blue tribute shows include "The Divas", "British Invasion" and "HippieFest", a flashback to the days of flower-power.
Here's a band that obviously loves what they do. Despite performing over 2000 shows in over 500 cities, the band continues at a pace that baffles the mind; writing, recording and performing almost 300 days a year! This band simply reveres great rock music and it shows in every performance.
"In my 23 years as Designer/Technical Director for La Jolla’s annual Jewel Ball, I’ve never been blown away by a band’s performance. Until now. Liquid Blue was amazingly creative and versatile. They showed commanding intensity and artistry combined with a smooth synchronicity that looked absolutely effortless on stage, engaging the guests with an incredible performance that rocked the dance floor till the last note." - Jim Roth, MSI Production Services, San Diego, California
Liquid Blue made history in 2004 when they were the first American act signed to a major Chinese record label, Shanghai Audio and Video. Since 2002 the band has made eight trips to China, more than any other recording act from the West.
The pop and rock music scene has been slowly and steadily gaining popularity in China and Liquid Blue has been a part of that emerging culture and music history as it has unfolded.
On the band's first visit to China in September of 2002, they performed a popular Chinese song "Pong-Yo" in Mandarin to a thrilled audience of 65,000 at People's Stadium in Dalian. The following night the stadium was sold-out once again with even more fans and live TV coverage on CCTV. Although the band also played original music from a recently released EP, their version of Pong Yo became embedded in the hearts and minds of the Chinese people and the TV coverage of the song was played over and over across the country.
With the SARS epidemic reaching its climax in 2003, tour plans were unfortunately cancelled. The timing was inopportune and the band had to wait two year before setting foot in the world's most populous country again.
In November 2005 the band was invited to perform at the Shanghai International Art Festival as one of only two acts from the USA (the other being the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra). The popularity of the band was still intact as evidenced by two sold-out shows at the 5000 seat Minhang Arena in Shanghai, with no other acts on the bill!
In 2007 Liquid Blue made several trips to China including performances in Sanya, Zhongshan, Lhasa, Chengdu, Haikou and Beijing. Most of these shows featured Liquid Blue along with several well known Chinese pop stars. In Haikou the band played to 35,000 at Hainan University Stadium. With the Olympics set for Beijing in August of 2008, CCTV's all-sports channel officially became the "all-Olympics" channel on New Years Eve, 2007. Liquid Blue was invited by the Chinese government to perform at the very first broadcast of the newly crowned station (CCTV-5). The sold-out event was held in Beijing at the China Agricultural University Sports Arena (capacity 8200) which hosted the Wrestling competition for the 2008 Summer Games. Most TV's in China were tuned to the event and it was also broadcast internationally including on CCTV-9 in the USA.
In 2009 and 2010 Liquid Blue vocalists reached the Top-10 finals in Chinese Idol (MN Idol). MN Idol is has more viewers than American Idol. It was the first time an American reached the Top-10.
In 2007 the band became the first U.S. act to perform in Dipolog City, Philippines, selling out the 6000 seat Andres Bonifacio College Arena. A show in nearby Dapitan City also sold-out. Similar to China, fans waited to meet the band at every opportunity; airports, hotels, pre and post show. The group returned to Dipolog City in 2013 with a sold-out acoustic show at D' Hotel.
Liquid Blue was back in China again in 2011, performing several shows at the World Leisure Expo in Hangzhou.
