Rashad Green is an accomplished vocalist and has fronted Michael Jackson tribute acts. His youthful spirit and energetic performance makes him a delight to watch and work with. His dancing skills along with his abiltiy to connect with the audience have made him one of our most requested performers. Rashad recently fronted Liquid Blue during a stint in Indonesia.
Singer-songwriter Chad Perez gained fame on Vine for posting covers that also incorporated comedy. His first viral Vine, "My Reflection is Cooler Than Me," more commonly known as the Gas Pedal Mirror Vine, won Vine of the Year at the 2014 Shorty Awards. He became popular on the app musical.ly with over 150,000 fans to his chadperez account. Before the fame Chad grew up in a family that sang karaoke religiously, which is where his passion for singing blossumed. Before making Vines/YouTube videos, he went to San Diego State University and studied Communications. He had more than 850,000 followers by the time Vine shut down and now has a large YouTube following. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, but mostly grew up in Las Vegas and San Diego, California.
He grew up listening to country music and hopes to be a country/pop crossover artist one day..
Jenny Nowinski, is a commanding vocalist and dancer. She sings in Taiwanese, Japanese and English. Jenny was awarded the title of San Diego Idol in 2002 and “made it to Hollywood” in American Idol Season II. She spent 7 years as an a cappella singer at University of California, San Diego where she received a Master of Education, Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and BA in Psychology.
Jenny is well mannered and sometimes conservative in appearance but she has a not so mild wild side too.
Vocalist Jayda Jeon is a highly polished singer; classically trained piano player and songwriter Growing up in Seoul, South Korea, she was a K-Pop studio vocalist as a teen. Jayda studied classical singing from a well known professor at Ewha Woman's University in central Seoul. It is the world's largest female educational institute. In 2006 she studied with Yeong-Jun, of the popular Korean R&B band, ‘Brown Eyed Soul’ who have released 3 albums in Korea. In 2009 she studied classic composition at the University of Suwon. Since coming to the United States Jayda has performed with several bands in Southern CA as well as continuing her musical education. In 2012 she collaborated with successful composer and producer Joey Carbone and they co-composed the song “Twinkle Twinkle A.B.C.-Z” for the Japanese boy band A.B.C.-Z out of Tokyo on Pony Canyon Records (a major leader in the Japanese music industry). The song was released on DVD along with a video in 2013.
Jazmine Rogers, originally from Memphis, Tennessee, is a multi-talented entertainer including singing, dancing, acting, and modeling. Jazmine most recently won the title of Campus Superstar San Diego 2016, a singing competition for full-time college students in San Diego County. Her musical inspirations include Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Beyoncé, and Mariah Carey. Jazmine's show credits include the role of Aida, in the musical Aida and the role of Ilse in Spring Awakening. She's also been requested numerous times as the national anthem soloist for the San Diego Padres. You can catch Jazmine in the Live show, Lego Friends to the Rescue, as Andrea, at Legoland California Resort where she performs year round. Jazmine is currently working on obtaining her AA degree in music performance, and plans to transfer to a four-year university to receive her bachelors in vocal performance.
Perry O'Neal Johnson began singing at the humble age of 8, took up the piano at 13, and has not stopped since. His music career started in the church and has expanded to traveling across the nation, overseas in Europe, Costa Rica and even to American Idol (Top 100, Season 10)! Perry holds a bachelor's degree in Music and Spanish from the University of Central Arkansas. He infuses different styles and genres into his performances to create a distinct and unique sound that is all his own. He plays piano, organ, trombone, drums, acoustic guitar and sings!
Guitarist Aidan Spencer, a native of San Diego, is a graduate of Musician's Institute's prestigious "GIT" guitar program in Hollywood, Ca. Former lead guitarist for the classic rock influenced "Midnight Rose," he has also toured with the Indie/Punk band "The FABulous Rudies" throughout the Western United States on the "Van's Warped Tour." Also a songwriter and studio guitarist, Aidan is always up for a musical challenge.
Aidan loves to drive and travel, but has little sense of direction. Without his GPS, we'd never see him again.
JC Boissey owes his proficiency on the instrument to obsessive practice and studying with some of the best players and instructors in the world as a regular attendee to Gerald Veasley’s Bass Bootcamp. JC is also the founder of Groove-DNA, an apparel line geared towards bass players. JC has played and recorded with many artists in genres covering a variety from Jazz to funk and Gospel. He had the opportunity to back 2000 Best Rock Gospel Album Grammy winner Rebecca St James for several performances.
Glenn "MannRaw" Frazier has been playing the drums since the age of two. He has made appearances on several television networks accompanying different artists. Appearances include CBS, FOX, KUSI, PBS, BET, and TBN to name a few. MannRaw has performed with several local and well known bands including the late great Ken Schoppmeyer and King Biscuit Revue, The Fabulous Rudies, Joe Vegas, Charles Woolfork and Covenant, Amana Melome, Cheryl Frazier, and many more. MannRaw is more than just a drummer. He is the consumate showman who is an audience favorite at Liquid Blue shows throughout the United States.
Rick Rossi is a Grammy winning sax player and has been nominated for a Grammy Award three times in his career, winning one in 2000. He has composed and arranged music for television and film and appeared numerous times on national television, The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, Good Morning America, David Letterman, Conan O’Brien, MTV, and VH-1 David Letterman, and many others) and was a featured soloist on the Grammy-Award winning multi-platinum CD The Dirty Boogie. He has played in the most famous venues around the world with legendary artists such as Frank Sinatra, Natalie Cole, Tony Bennett, Bobby Caldwell, Stanley Clark, George Duke, Cher, and Shakira.
Liquid Blue is available with or without a horn section. One to six horns are available.
Lead vocalist, hype-man, founder, manager & chief songwriter Scott Stephens has charted the course for Liquid Blue since 1996. Scott spent four years as a professional Roller Derby skater with the Los Angeles Thunderbirds and still skates every day. At age 16 he founded "Raw Power Magazine", the world's first punk/metal magazine. He holds a BA in Communications with a minor in Fine and Performing Arts from Alaska Pacific University. Scott also is a Chartered Financial Consultant. A Southern California native raised in Los Angeles and residing and surfing in San Diego since 1985. Currently Scott still performs with the duo "Two From Blue" and occasionally jumps on stage for a few songs with Liquid Blue. (Scott's page on Green Entertainment USA).
A modern "hippie" who downs Kombucha, organic Green Tea or Free Trade Coffee between Yoga sessions. Scott envisions Liquid Blue performances on the Moon and various planets of our solar system. His attempts to build an all-electric, zero carbon emission spacecraft have failed but he does believe the Klingons have this technology will be willing to share it after peace talks.
Nikki Green is the handles talent for Liquid Blue (and other groups) through her company, Green Entertainment USA. Nikki was a Top-10 finalist in Chinese Idol (the Asian equivalent to American Idol) in 2009. MN Idol has more viewers than American Idol! She was the very first American to qualify for the finals which were held in Malaysia. In additional to her native English, Nikki sings in Mandarin, Taiwanese and Spanish. She plays keyboards, guitar and drums. Nikki has a B.A in Business Administration from National University. She was part of the original BlueGirls trio and the band's first star performer.
Nikki has never been seen fully intoxicated. She secretly dreams of a much wilder existence. There have been various, unsubstantiated sightings of her at underground parties but these remain just rumors.
Guitarist Michael Vangerov (known as the Grovler) is the owner of Vantastic Sound and is technical director for Liquid Blue. He is a native of Los Angeles and now resides in San Diego. The "Grovler" performed with band mate Scott Stephens in the group "Electric Warrior" as a teen and now, 40 years later, they still perform as a duo in "Two From Blue". In the 1980's Michael became the guitarist for "Rhythm Tribe" who were signed to Elektra Records. The Groveler has his own signature guitar model produced and distributed by Neal Moser. A California talent agent stated: "The bands original phenom guitarist is in our opinion, the best lead guitarist to come along since Steve Lukather".
The "Grovler" was groveling before anyone knew the word. His blue beard mysteriously grows naturally, so he says. He has always been interested in space travel and alien women.
